Written Summary:

For those of you who regularly read our reviews, you know that we do not routinely give grades higher than 95. We reserve our highest ratings for those martial arts videos that we feel give the viewer the best information and training. If you are a regular reader of our reviews, you also know that Tony Blauer routinely scores the highest of any of the martial arts videos that we review. There is a reason for this and it is this: Tony Blauer is producing some of the most progressive street self defense videos that we have yet to see and this video called “Rage Attacks” is another in the long line of Blauer successes.

As usual, this video by Mr. Blauer is loaded with practical training information but the underlying premise of this video is to give the viewer a customized “ personal “ system of self defense based on each individual’s unique reflexive response to various types of primal rage attacks. That’s quite a big order but Mr. Blauer’s material is so fundamentally sound that he pulls it off again. As Mr. Blauer says, this video is a “formula” tape that emphasizes concepts over techniques, training drills over mindless, repetitive dojo sparring, and actually forces the viewer/student to realistically evaluate his own skills when dealing with a confrontation. It would be a disservice to Mr. Blauer for me to try to regurgitate in this review everything that is on this video and I would probably not do his material justice if I tried. Many of concepts found on other Blauer videos are present and as well as a few new ones. The SPEAR response, isolation principles, realistic street atttack scenarios, and training with three dimensional integrity are presented clearly and in detail. New material such as increasing one’s perception of an attack is also presented. All of this material is revolutionary and effective for martial arts training.

This video is for everyone, from beginner to grandmaster. Call or e mail Mr. Blauer and order it. And if you are wondering if we have any financial incentive to do this, the answer it no. We simply feel that all martial artists should have access to this information ( not only on this tape, but on the others we have reviewed as well ). You won’t be disappointed.
